Freezing (Technique)

freezing

Freezing is a long-term food preservation method that stops microbial activity and enzymatic spoilage by lowering food to a temperature below its freezing point. Rapid freezing keeps ice crystals small, reducing damage to the texture. This technique should not be confused with ice cream, the frozen dessert.

Where It’s Used

“Portion the leftover meat and freeze it in airtight bags.”
