A rolling pin is a tool with a thick cylindrical body and 2 handles, one at each end, used to press and thin dough. It is used to roll out cookie, pizza, and tart dough to an even thickness. It is thicker and shorter than an oklava (the long, thin Turkish rolling pin).
Where It’s Used
“Roll out the cookie dough to an even thickness with a rolling pin, then cut it with a cookie cutter.”
