Simit (Turkish Sesame Bread Ring)

Simit is a bread made by shaping yeast-leavened dough into a ring, dipping it in water mixed with grape molasses, coating it with sesame seeds, and baking it. The molasses gives the crust a browned color and a slight sweetness. It is one of the most common street breads in Türkiye.
