Plain soups and yogurt mixtures are soft-textured options; a soft texture does not mean a food is “stomach-friendly” for everyone. If you have stomach or reflux symptoms, discuss a suitable diet with a health professional. The preparations below are not treatment recommendations.

Milk and yogurt can add body to soups or breakfast recipes. Small amounts of cinnamon and cumin provide different aromas. Banana or pear can be combined with yogurt; ground flaxseed also changes the consistency. None is guaranteed to relieve stomach symptoms. Choose ingredients according to any allergies, intolerances or personal dietary restrictions.

How to Prepare Mint and Lemon Tea
You can steep a few washed fresh mint leaves and a few lemon slices in hot water for 5–10 minutes, then strain. If using dried mint, adjust the amount to taste. Serve when it has cooled enough to drink comfortably. Mint and citrus can worsen reflux symptoms in some people; this drink is not recommended as a soothing treatment for reflux. Avoid it if it bothers you.

Soft-Textured Dishes
You can prepare a plain soup or yogurt mixture and portion it according to your needs. Adding sliced banana and one dessertspoon of ground flaxseed to a bowl of yogurt is one serving option. You can add a quarter teaspoon of cinnamon to a glass of warm milk or a pinch of cumin to a glass of ayran. Fruits such as pear and banana can be grated into yogurt. These amounts are for flavor, not medical doses.

After Meals
If you have reflux symptoms at night or when lying down, finishing meals at least three hours before bed may help reduce symptoms. This is not a stand-alone solution for everyone's stomach problems. Discuss foods and drinks that worsen your symptoms with a health professional; do not rely only on menu changes for ongoing problems.
