Wash your hands with soap and water. If these are unavailable, use a commercially prepared hand sanitizer containing at least 60% alcohol according to its label. Making hand sanitizer at home with vinegar, essential oils, aloe vera, or alcohol mixtures of uncertain concentration is not recommended; these recipes do not establish effectiveness or skin safety.
Hand and surface products are not interchangeable. For surface cleaning or disinfection, follow the directions of a product suitable for the surface and purpose. Do not mix products. Keep alcohol-containing products away from flames and heat sources, out of children’s reach, and under the storage conditions on the label.
