Agedashi tofu is a light Japanese breakfast dish made by coating soft tofu in cornstarch and crisping it in an air fryer with much less oil than traditional deep-frying. Pressing out excess moisture helps the coating crisp. It is served with a sauce containing no added sweetener, making it an option for people monitoring their blood sugar.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Press the tofu

20 min

Place the tofu between layers of a clean towel, set a weight on top and press it for 20 minutes. Then cut it into cubes.

2

Coat with starch

5 min

Lightly coat the tofu cubes with cornstarch and shake off the excess. Drizzle them with olive oil.

3

Air-fry the tofu

12 min

Arrange the tofu cubes in a single layer in the air fryer basket and cook until golden and crisp on all sides.

4

Serve with the sauce

3 min

Mix and heat the vegetable stock and soy sauce. Pour the sauce over the crisp tofu, sprinkle with scallions and serve.

Reminder

Press the tofu under a weight for at least 20 minutes before cutting it. Excess moisture can keep the starch from sticking and prevent the coating from crisping. Allergen: contains soy (tofu). Check the product label for gluten in the soy sauce; ingredients vary by product.

Tofuyu tam 20 dakika ağırlıkla süzdüm, nişasta mükemmel yapıştı ve airfryer'dan gerçekten çıtır çıktı.
