This recipe gives the Turkish tradition of dolma a quick twist: tomatoes are filled with bulgur, onion, and parsley, then cooked in the air fryer. It is a hearty snack that comes to the table quickly without waiting for the oven.
Cut off the tops of the tomatoes and scoop out the centers with a spoon. Set the scooped-out flesh aside.
Mix the bulgur, onion, parsley, olive oil, salt, and reserved tomato flesh.
Fill the tomatoes with the mixture and put their tops back on.
Arrange the tomatoes in the air fryer basket and cook over medium heat for 25 minutes, until the bulgur is tender.
Take care not to pierce the bottoms when hollowing out the tomatoes, or the filling may leak during cooking. Allergen: contains gluten (bulgur).
