Quickly pressure-cooked beets, fresh spinach and roughly broken walnuts make this salad a light yet satisfying part of a British brunch. An olive oil and balsamic dressing combines with omega-3 from the walnuts for a heart-friendly plate.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Pressure-cook the beet

20 min

Put the washed, unpeeled beets in the pressure cooker and add enough water to cover. Close the lid. When the cooker whistles, reduce the heat and cook for 20 minutes.

2

Wait for the pressure to release

10 min

Turn off the heat and wait 10 minutes for the pressure to release naturally before opening the cooker.

3

Peel and slice the beets

10 min

Rub the skins off the lukewarm beets and cut into thin slices.

4

Make the dressing

5 min

Whisk the olive oil with the balsamic vinegar, honey, salt and black pepper until smooth.

5

Assemble the salad

5 min

Spread the spinach over a plate and arrange the beet slices and broken walnuts on top. Drizzle with the dressing and serve.

Reminder

We recommend wearing gloves when peeling beets, or your hands may stay red for hours. Allergens: contains nuts (walnuts).

Pancarları düdüklüde 20 dakika pişirdikten sonra hâlâ ortaları sertti, çatalla kontrol ettiğimde direnç hissettim; büyük boy pancarlar için süreyi 5 dakika daha uzatmak gerekir mi? Ceviz yerine badem denemek sosun dengesini bozar mı acaba.

Haklısınız, pancarın büyüklüğü süreyi doğrudan etkiler; yumruk büyüklüğünü aşan pancarlarda süreyi 5 dakika uzatmanızı öneririm. Badem de güzel çalışır, sadece cevizin verdiği hafif buruk notu biraz kaybedersiniz.
