A practical weeknight dinner in Russian home cooking, chicken kotlet is made by coating ground chicken patties in breadcrumbs and pan-frying them. The result is a classic fried dish with a crisp outside and juicy center.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Make the Mixture

10 min

Gently mix the ground chicken with the bread soaked in milk, grated onion, and salt.

2

Shape

5 min

Shape the mixture into oval patties.

3

Coat

5 min

Dip the patties in beaten egg, then coat them in breadcrumbs.

4

Pan-Fry

15 min

Brush a skillet with olive oil. Fry the patties for 15 minutes, until golden on both sides.

Reminder

Leave space between the patties in the pan so the breadcrumb coating crisps evenly. Contains wheat/gluten (breadcrumbs), eggs, and dairy (milk).
