This salad combines grilled chicken, ripe mango, and fresh cilantro, finished with mustard seeds and ginger sizzled in hot oil. This tadka technique adds layers of flavor typical of Indian cuisine.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Grill the chicken

16 min

Grill the salted chicken breast for 8 minutes per side. Let it rest, then cut it into strips.

2

Make the salad

5 min

Gently combine the mango slices, cilantro, chicken strips, and lemon juice in a large bowl.

3

Make the tadka

4 min

Heat the olive oil, then add the mustard seeds and ginger. Once the seeds sizzle and begin to pop, remove from the heat within 2 minutes.

4

Serve

10 min

Pour the hot tadka over the salad, let it rest for 10 minutes, then serve.

Reminder

Cover the pan immediately after adding the mustard seeds to the oil, or they may pop and scatter. Add the tadka to the salad while hot, as its aroma fades as it cools. Allergen: contains mustard.
