Seasoned ground beef patties are stuffed with small cubes of kashar cheese, a Turkish semi-hard cheese, then grilled. The cheese melts inside and flows at the first bite, making it a hearty dinner that kids enjoy.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Knead the meat mixture

10 min

Thoroughly knead the ground beef, onion, breadcrumbs, cumin, and salt in a large bowl.

2

Enclose the cheese

15 min

Place a cube of kashar cheese in the center of each portion of meat mixture. Shape the mixture into round meatballs, sealing the cheese completely inside.

3

Grill the meatballs

15 min

Grill the meatballs over medium heat, turning them until browned on all sides. The center should reach 71°C / 160°F; this takes about 12–15 minutes.

Reminder

Place each cube of kashar cheese in the center of the meat mixture and seal it in completely, or the cheese may leak out on the grill. Do not turn the meatballs too often; the outside can brown before the filling has heated and melted. Allergens: contains dairy (kashar cheese) and wheat (gluten) from the breadcrumbs.
