This Lebanese-style breakfast plate combines hummus, olive oil, olives, and fresh vegetables, bringing together the simple yet rich flavors of Middle Eastern cuisine. Seasoned with za'atar, it is also suitable for serving guests.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Spread the hummus

3 min

Spread the hummus on a large plate and use the back of a spoon to make a well in the center.

2

Add olive oil and za'atar

2 min

Drizzle olive oil into the well and sprinkle za'atar over the top.

3

Arrange the vegetables

5 min

Arrange the olives, tomatoes, and cucumber neatly around the edge of the plate.

4

Serve with flatbread

5 min

Serve immediately with warm flatbread or pita.

Reminder

Allergens: contains gluten (flatbread/pita) and sesame (za'atar, hummus). If you cannot find za'atar, you can make it at home by mixing equal parts dried thyme and toasted sesame seeds. Drain and pat the olives dry before serving to keep the plate from getting watery.
