Inspired by Canada’s Pacific coast, this loaf brings smoked salmon and dill into a whole-wheat dough for a fish-forward breakfast. Letting the dough rise twice keeps the slices light in texture.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Knead the Dough

45 min

Knead the whole-wheat flour, fresh yeast, water, salt, and olive oil into a smooth dough. Let it rise for 45 minutes.

2

Fold in the Salmon and Dill

10 min

Gently fold the chopped smoked salmon and dill into the risen dough.

3

Shape the Loaf

15 min

Shape the loaf, place it on a baking pan, and let it rise for another 15 minutes.

4

Bake

25 min

Bake in a preheated oven for 25 minutes.

Reminder

Fold the smoked salmon gently into the dough; overkneading may break up the fish and affect the bread’s texture. Allergen: contains wheat (gluten) and fish (salmon).
