Spicy meatballs, from the spice-loving cuisine of Turkey’s Black Sea region, are made by mixing ground beef with plenty of red pepper flakes and hot pepper paste, then quickly cooking it in a pan with tomato sauce. The sauce’s tang balances the heat. This quick recipe uses few ingredients and works for a late-night craving.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Mix and Shape the Meatballs

12 min

Thoroughly mix the ground beef with the grated onion, hot pepper paste, red pepper flakes, and salt. Shape the mixture into meatballs about 4 cm in diameter.

2

Sear the Meatballs

8 min

Heat the olive oil in a skillet and sear the meatballs until browned on all sides.

3

Cook in the Sauce

12 min

Add the garlic and grated tomatoes over the meatballs. Cover and cook over low heat until the sauce thickens.

4

Serve

2 min

Serve the meatballs hot. Sprinkle with extra red pepper flakes if desired.

Reminder

Sear the meatballs in a pan before adding them to the sauce. Raw meatballs cooked directly in the sauce may fall apart and cloud it.

İki yemek kaşığı acı biber salçası bendeki 8 yaşındaki çocuk için fazla acı olur mu, editör notundaki gibi yarısını tatlı salçayla değiştirsem tat nasıl değişir?
