Chicken and turkey
A turkey breast is butterflied, filled with seasoned rice, dried apricots, and walnuts, then rolled and roasted for a special occasion. Sliced crosswise, it makes an elegant centerpiece with a colorful filling.
Mix the cooked rice with the chopped dried apricots, walnuts, onion, and cinnamon.
Season the butterflied turkey breast with salt and black pepper. Spread the filling over it, roll it tightly, and tie it with kitchen twine.
Rub the roll with olive oil and place it in a roasting pan. Roast in a preheated oven until the center reaches a safe internal temperature.
Let the roll rest for at least 10 minutes after roasting, without removing the twine. Then remove the twine, slice, and serve. Slicing it too early may cause the filling to fall apart.
Important: Tie the roll securely with kitchen twine so the filling does not spill out during cooking. Let it rest for at least 10 minutes before slicing, or the filling may fall apart. Allergen: Contains tree nuts (walnuts).
