Made by quickly dissolving a dried yogurt-and-grain mixture in hot meat stock, trahana is a hearty Greek soup served both every day and to guests. Its whole grain base makes a quick, low-calorie meal with just a few ingredients.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Fry the paste

2 min

Melt the butter in a saucepan, add the tomato paste and fry for two minutes.

2

Add the trahana

3 min

Add the hot water and bring to a boil. Gradually pour in the trahana, stirring constantly.

3

Cook

12 min

Add the salt and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, for twelve minutes, continuing until the soup thickens.

4

Serve

3 min

Divide the hot soup between bowls and scatter crumbled Turkish white cheese on top.

Reminder

Stir constantly as you add the trahana to the hot water to prevent it from sticking to the bottom and forming lumps. Allergens: contains wheat (gluten) and dairy products.

Editör notundaki gibi 5 bardak sudan yerine artan tavuk suyu kullanmayı düşünüyorum, bu durumda tuz miktarını 1 çay kaşığından azaltmalı mıyım yoksa aynı mı bırakmalıyım?

Tavuk suyu genelde tuzlu olduğundan tuzu yarım çay kaşığına düşürüp tadına bakarak tamamlamanızı öneririm. Aksi halde çorba fazla tuzlu çıkabilir.
