Equipment You’ll Need
Required
- Detergent and hot water
- Clean kitchen cloth
- Cutting board (preferably a different color)
Optional
- Kitchen thermometer (for checking the refrigerator)
- Fire blanket
Alternative
- If there is no fire blanket: a large damp cloth or a pot lid
Safety
- Never add water to hot oil; it causes a steam explosion.
- Do not mix bleach with detergent; toxic chlorine gas is released.
- After handling raw chicken, meat, or eggs, do not touch other food until your hands and surfaces have been cleaned again.
