Bread filled with Turkish semi-hard cheese is crisped with a little butter in an air fryer for a classic sandwich with a crunchy outside and melted cheese inside. It can also be packed cold in a picnic basket. The same sandwiches can be made in a preheated oven.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Butter the bread

5 min

Spread a thin layer of butter on one side of each slice of sandwich bread.

2

Add the cheese

5 min

Place the sliced Turkish semi-hard cheese between the unbuttered sides of the bread and close the sandwiches.

3

Cook the sandwiches

8 min

Arrange the sandwiches in the air fryer basket and cook at 180°C / 355°F for 8 minutes, turning 1 time halfway through, until the cheese melts and the bread is golden. If you do not have an air fryer, cook them in an oven preheated to 180°C / 355°F for 6 minutes on both sides, as you would in a sandwich press.

Reminder

Leave space between the sandwiches in the air fryer basket so they heat evenly. Allergens: contains wheat/bread (gluten) and milk (cheese and butter).
