Cakes
Inspired by Canada’s maple syrup tradition, this cake is made by flavoring almond flour batter with maple extract and baking it in individual portions. It is flourless and low-carb, making it a dessert option for a keto diet.
Whisk the egg and erythritol. Add the maple extract and melted butter, then stir.
Add the almond flour and baking powder and stir until smooth.
Divide the batter among single-serve baking dishes and bake in an oven preheated to 180°C / 355°F for 12 minutes, until the center is cooked through.
Make sure the almond flour is finely ground; coarsely ground flour may cause the cake to crumble. Allergens: tree nuts (almond) and egg.
