Making these Australian-style mini sausage rolls takes skill: beef sausages are wrapped in folded buttery pastry and baked. Careful chilling and folding are essential for flaky layers.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Fold the pastry

20 min

Fold and roll the flour with slices of cold butter, repeating 3 times. Rest for 15 minutes between folds.

2

Wrap the sausages

15 min

Cut the pastry into strips and wrap tightly around the beef sausages.

3

Bake

30 min

Brush the rolls with egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake in an oven preheated to 200°C / 390°F for 30 minutes.

Reminder

Rest the pastry for 15 minutes between folds, or the layers may stick together and fail to separate in the oven. Cool the baked rolls to room temperature before freezing. Allergens: contains gluten (flour), milk and dairy products (butter), and eggs.

Katlamalar arasında tarifte yazan 15 dakika yerine 8 dakika bekledim, sonuç fırında katmanlar tam ayrışmadı ve hamur biraz yoğun kaldı; tam süreye uymak gerçekten önemliymiş.
