A quick Azerbaijani pastry made by filling thin, unleavened dough with cheese, folding it into a half-moon, and cooking it briefly in a skillet. The unleavened dough makes it quick to prepare.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Roll Out the Dough

10 min

Knead the flour, water, and salt. Divide the dough into four pieces and roll each into a thin round.

2

Fill

10 min

Mix the white cheese with the dill and spread it over one half of each dough round. Fold into a half-moon and press the edges together with a fork.

3

Cook in a Skillet

12 min

Melt the butter in a skillet and cook the qutab for 12 minutes, until both sides are golden.

Reminder

Press the edges together with a fork when folding the flatbread, or the cheese may leak out in the skillet. Allergens: contains wheat (gluten) and milk and dairy products (cheese).

İlk denememde hamuru fazla kalın açtım, tavada içi tam pişmeden dışı kızardı. İkinci seferinde daha ince açınca 12 dakikalık süre tam yeterli oldu ve sonuç çok daha iyiydi.
