This practical puree is made by reheating leftover boiled carrots and potatoes from a family meal and blending them for a quick new meal for the baby, helping reduce food waste. A little olive oil loosens the texture.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Prepare the leftover vegetables

Take the boiled carrots and potatoes left from the previous day out of the refrigerator and cut them into small pieces.

2

Reheat

5 min

Place the carrots and potatoes in a small saucepan with a little water and heat over low heat for 5 minutes, until softened.

3

Blend into a puree

Blend the warmed carrots and potatoes with the olive oil until smooth. Thin with boiled water if needed.

Reminder

Use the leftover vegetables within 1 day of taking them out of the refrigerator; do not feed the baby leftovers stored longer. If the puree is too thick, thin it gradually with boiled water; adding too much at once can make it watery.
