Mici, a street food from Romania and neighboring areas, is made by mixing ground meat with garlic and baking soda, shaping it into small cylinders and grilling them. These meat rolls can also be eaten without bread and are easy to pack for breakfast or lunch.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Mix the meat mixture

10 min

Thoroughly mix the ground meat with the crushed garlic, baking soda, cumin, black pepper and salt.

2

Rest

120 min

Cover the mixture and rest it in the refrigerator for 2 hours so the baking soda can take effect.

3

Shape the rolls

10 min

With wet hands, shape the mixture into small cylinders about as thick as a finger.

4

Grill

10 min

Cook the rolls on a hot grill for 10 minutes, turning them until browned all over.

Reminder

Do not put the mixture on the grill before letting it rest; it needs time for the baking soda to take effect. Wet your hands with water when shaping the rolls, or the mixture may stick to them. Allergen: none.

2 saatlik dinlenme süresi sabrımı zorladı ama sonuç gerçekten çok lezzetliydi, sarımsak dozu da tam kararındaydı.
