Bissara, a Moroccan winter soup, is made by cooking dried fava beans with garlic and cumin until smooth. Finished with a drizzle of olive oil and red pepper, it is also enjoyed for breakfast.

Cook the Fava Beans

Blend until smooth. Add water as needed to adjust the consistency, then season with salt.
