Bolo de fubá is a simple Brazilian breakfast cake made by combining fine cornmeal with eggs and milk and baking until set. Coconut adds a light sweetness that complements the cake’s moist texture.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Mix the wet ingredients

10 min

Whisk the eggs, sugar, and cooking oil. Add the milk and continue mixing.

2

Add the dry ingredients

5 min

Add the cornmeal, flour, coconut, baking powder, and salt. Mix until smooth.

3

Bake the cake

40 min

Pour the batter into a greased pan and bake in an oven preheated to 180°C / 355°F for forty minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Reminder

Test the cake with a toothpick before removing it from the pan; the cornmeal can retain moisture even when the cake looks done. Allergens: contains gluten (wheat), milk and dairy products, and egg.

Tarifte 40 dakika yazıyordu ama fırınım güçlü olduğundan 32 dakikada kürdan temiz çıktı, birkaç dakika daha bekleseydim kenarları yanabilirdi. Fırın gücüne göre erken kontrol etmek gerekiyor.
