Pastries and dough-based dishes
These rolls are made by filling ready-made puff pastry sheets with white cheese and Kashar, then rolling them up. They add a warm pastry to the breakfast table without the need to make dough from scratch. Nigella seeds and sesame seeds on top complete the classic look.
Mix the crumbled white cheese, shredded Kashar, and finely chopped parsley in a bowl.
Cut the puff pastry sheets into triangles. Place 1 spoonful of filling on each piece and roll it up.
Brush the rolls with beaten egg and sprinkle with nigella seeds and sesame seeds.
Bake in an oven preheated to 190°C / 375°F for 25 minutes, until the tops of the rolls are golden.
Do not unfold the puff pastry sheets as soon as you take them out of the refrigerator; let them sit at room temperature for a few minutes, or they may crack. Brush the rolls thoroughly with egg before baking for an even sheen. Allergens: wheat (gluten), dairy, eggs, and sesame (including tahini).
