Prepare the mixture
5 minMix the mashed potato with the kashar cheese (Turkish semi-hard cheese), parsley, flour, and salt.
A kid-friendly Turkish snack made by mixing boiled potatoes with kashar cheese and shaping the mixture into small balls that crisp up in an air fryer. Using an air fryer instead of deep-frying gives them the same crispy texture with less oil.
Mix the mashed potato with the kashar cheese (Turkish semi-hard cheese), parsley, flour, and salt.
Cover the mixture with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for 10 minutes.
Shape the mixture into small balls. Dip them in beaten egg, then coat with breadcrumbs.
Arrange the balls with space between them in the air fryer basket and cook at 190°C / 375°F for 12 minutes. If you do not have an air fryer, cook them in an oven preheated to 190°C / 375°F for the same duration.
Leave space between the balls in the air fryer basket; otherwise, they may stick together and cook unevenly. Allergens: contains wheat (gluten), milk and dairy products from the kashar cheese, and egg.
