This recipe turns leftover rice into a crispy snack kids may enjoy by mixing it with Kashar cheese and egg, coating the balls in bread crumbs, and frying them.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Prepare the Filling

5 min

Thoroughly mix the leftover rice with grated Kashar cheese, egg, finely chopped parsley, and salt.

2

Shape the balls

10 min

Take pieces of the mixture about 3 centimeters in diameter, roll them between your palms, and coat them in bread crumbs.

3

Fry

8 min

Heat the olive oil and fry the balls for 8 minutes, turning them until golden brown on all sides.

4

Serve

2 min

Drain on paper towels to remove excess oil, then serve hot.

Reminder

If the leftover rice is already salty, reduce the added salt accordingly or the balls may taste too salty. Allergens: milk/dairy (Kashar cheese), egg, and wheat (gluten).
