Remove as many skins as possible from the boiled chickpeas.
Baby food recipes
A nourishing baby-food mash made with boiled chickpeas, carrots, and zucchini. It is high in protein and fiber, and offers a filling main-meal option for babies transitioning to more textured foods from the tenth month onward.
How to make it?
Dice the carrot and zucchini and boil them in a little water until tender.
Blend the chickpeas and cooked vegetables with the olive oil until the texture is appropriate for your baby’s developmental stage.
Reminder
Important: Do not add salt or spices to baby food. Remove as many chickpea skins as possible to reduce choking risk. Introduce new foods one at a time and watch for signs of an allergic reaction; consult your pediatrician about the feeding schedule. Serve the mash the same day, or portion and freeze it.
