These Greek-style beef patties are seasoned with thyme and enriched with feta, while bread soaked in milk keeps them tender. Serve them hot for dinner with yogurt sauce and roasted peppers.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Prepare the mixture

10 min

In a large bowl, thoroughly knead the ground beef, squeezed bread, onion, feta, thyme, egg, and salt until the cheese is evenly distributed.

2

Shape the patties

10 min

Shape the mixture into palm-sized, flattened patties and let them rest for 10 minutes.

3

Grill the patties

15 min

Grill the patties over medium heat, turning until browned on both sides. Caution: Cook until the internal temperature reaches 71°C / 160°F; this takes about 12–15 minutes.

4

Serve

3 min

Plate the hot patties with strained yogurt and roasted red pepper.

Reminder

Soak the bread in milk and squeeze it well before adding it to the ground beef; otherwise, the mixture may be too wet and the patties may fall apart on the grill. Allergens: contains milk and dairy (feta and milk) and gluten (bread).
