Baby food recipes
Inspired by Greek chickpea dishes, this puree is made by mashing cooked chickpeas, carrots, and zucchini with olive oil. This recipe contains no salt or honey and is intended for babies starting solid foods at 8 months.
Chop the carrots and zucchini, then boil them in a pot of water for 15 minutes, until tender.
Add the cooked chickpeas and boil with the vegetables for 5 more minutes, then drain.
Blend the mixture with the olive oil until smooth.
Never add salt or honey to food for babies younger than 1 year; this recipe contains neither. Make sure the puree is lukewarm before serving it to a baby. Contains no allergens.
