This recipe adds a spicy twist to Greek savory pastries: feta is mixed with red pepper flakes and parsley, then folded into triangles of phyllo dough. Folding all eight sheets individually takes time, but makes enough for a brunch crowd.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Make the Filling

10 min

Mix the feta with the egg, red pepper flakes, and parsley.

2

Fold the Phyllo

45 min

Brush each phyllo sheet with melted butter and fold it into a triangle, adding 1 spoonful of filling as you fold.

3

Finish the Tops

10 min

Brush the triangles with butter and sprinkle them with sesame seeds.

4

Bake

25 min

Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, until golden on top.

Reminder

Do not leave air pockets when folding the phyllo; trapped air can make it crack in the oven. Allergens: contains wheat (gluten), milk and dairy products, eggs, and sesame.
