This light Aegean dessert is made by resting fresh figs in milk overnight and serving them with Turkish clotted cream. Simple and no-cook, it is a refreshing treat for summer evenings.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Arrange the figs

5 min

Arrange the fig halves in a wide dish with the cut sides facing up.

2

Add the milk

3 min

Stir the sugar into the milk, then pour it over the figs.

3

Chill until set

240 min

Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight. The figs will soften and sweeten as they absorb the milk.

4

Serve

Top each fig with 1 spoonful of Turkish clotted cream and sprinkle with walnuts. Serve chilled.

Reminder

Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Add the clotted cream just before serving. Allergens: Contains milk and dairy products and tree nuts (walnuts). Check packaged ingredient labels for other allergens.
