Delicate, crumbly butter cookies filled with kaymak (Turkish clotted cream) and generously dusted with powdered sugar after baking. Serve them at a gathering for an elegant treat.
Beat the butter with the powdered sugar. Add the flour, cornstarch and vanilla, then knead until a dough forms.
Take a small piece of dough and flatten it in your palm. Place a little kaymak in the center, fold the edges over it and roll into a ball.
Arrange the cookies on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven until the edges are lightly golden. Caution: Line the sheet with parchment paper in case some kaymak leaks out.
Once the cookies have cooled slightly, generously dust them with powdered sugar.
Allergens: contains wheat (gluten) and dairy. Important: Use only a small amount of kaymak when filling the dough; too much can leak out during baking and distort the cookies.
