A simplified take on the Kazakh tradition of meat pilaf, this porridge softens leftover boiled meat from the previous day with rice and carrots in a pressure cooker. Its soft texture is easy for young children to swallow, and it can be packed in a lunchbox.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Rinse the rice

5 min

Rinse the rice until the water runs clear.

2

Cook in the pressure cooker

8 min

Put the rinsed rice, leftover boiled beef, grated carrot, and water in the pressure cooker and close the lid. Once it whistles, lower the heat and cook for 8 minutes.

3

Let it rest

5 min

Turn off the heat and let the pressure cooker rest in its own steam for 5 minutes without opening it.

4

Add the butter and serve

5 min

Stir in the butter and a little salt. Once lukewarm, divide the porridge among small containers, which are also suitable for a lunchbox.

Reminder

Use very little salt; the salt content should be kept low for young children. Allergen: contains dairy (butter).

Düdüklüde tarifte yazdığı gibi 8 dakika pişirdim ama benim düdüklüm biraz eski, pirinç tam istediğim kıvamda olmadı; bir dahaki sefere 10 dakikaya çıkaracağım. Kalan etle yapınca gerçekten çok pratik oldu.
