This traditional Turkish chilled pudding is made with ground almonds for a velvety texture. Its mild sweetness and almond aroma make it a favorite for afternoon tea and entertaining.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Warm the milk

6 min

Warm most of the milk with the sugar in a pot without bringing it to a boil.

2

Add the cornstarch and almond flour

12 min

Whisk the cornstarch into the remaining cold milk until smooth, then add it to the warm milk without letting lumps form. Add the almond flour and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.

3

Divide among serving bowls

3 min

Stir in the vanilla, then divide the mixture among serving bowls.

4

Chill and serve

25 min

Let the bowls cool to room temperature, then chill them in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour. Garnish with toasted sliced almonds before serving.

Reminder

Important: Stir constantly as you add the starch to the milk, or it may form lumps at the bottom of the pot. Allergens: contains milk and dairy products, and almonds (tree nuts). Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Dondurucuda saklanabilir mi, yoksa taze mi tüketilmeli? Kaç gün buzdolabında dayanıyor?

Kızım da yardım etti, birlikte yapmak keyifliydi. Annemin yıllardır yaptığı tarife çok benziyor, nostaljik oldu.

Doğum günü için denedim, davetliler çok beğendi. Annemin yıllardır yaptığı tarife çok benziyor, nostaljik oldu. İlk defa yaptığım halde hiç zorlanmadım, adımlar çok netti.
