Recipes for children
Mini nazook is an Armenian layered pastry made by spreading cinnamon-sugar filling over buttery dough, rolling it up, slicing it into small pieces and air-frying them. The nut-free cinnamon-sugar filling makes this a safe option for children with allergies, too.
Knead the flour with half the butter, the egg and baking powder to make a soft dough.
Roll out the dough thinly, spread the remaining butter over it, sprinkle with the sugar and cinnamon, then roll it up.
Use a wet knife to cut the roll into slices 2 cm thick.
Cook the slices in an air fryer at 180°C / 355°F for 15 minutes, until golden. If you do not have an air fryer, bake them in an oven preheated to 180°C / 355°F for the same time.
For clean slices that keep their layers intact, wet the knife before cutting the roll. Allergens: contains wheat (gluten), dairy (butter) and egg.
