These small Greek-style bites are made by wrapping spinach and a little cheese filling in whole-wheat phyllo dough, then baking until crisp. The filling contains no added sweetener, making this a diabetes-friendly snack.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Prepare the Filling

5 min

Mix the squeezed-dry spinach with the crumbled white cheese, egg, dill, and black pepper.

2

Cut the Phyllo into Strips

5 min

Cut the phyllo sheets into long strips and brush each one with olive oil.

3

Wrap into Balls

10 min

Place a 4 ml measure of filling at the end of each strip, wrap it tightly, and shape it into a small ball.

4

Bake

15 min

Bake in an oven preheated to 190°C / 375°F for 15 minutes, until golden.

Reminder

Keep the phyllo sheets covered with a damp towel while wrapping; exposed sheets dry out quickly and become brittle. Allergen: contains wheat (gluten) and dairy (cheese).

Beyaz peynir yerine az yağlı lor peyniriyle yaptım, tuz miktarını biraz artırdım çünkü lor daha az tuzlu çıktı. Sonuç yine de hafif ve dengeliydi, çocuklar hiç şikayet etmedi.
