Salmon fillet is marinated in miso paste and honey, then quickly grilled. The mild heat of a seven-spice blend is balanced by boiled rice, a staple of Japanese breakfasts.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Marinate the salmon

15 min

Mix the miso, honey, and soy sauce. Spread the mixture over the salmon fillet and let it marinate for 15 minutes.

2

Boil the rice

15 min

Rinse the rice, then boil it in salted water with the lid on for 15 minutes.

3

Grill the salmon

8 min

Place the salmon on the grill over medium heat and cook for 4 minutes per side.

4

Serve

2 min

Serve the salmon alongside the rice, topped with Turkish red pepper flakes and scallions.

Reminder

Miso burns quickly, so grill the salmon over medium heat, away from direct high flames; otherwise, the miso will turn black. Allergens: contains soy (miso, soy sauce) and fish (salmon). Additional allergen check: check the product label for gluten in the soy sauce. Contents may vary by product.
