Sauté the finely chopped onion in olive oil until lightly golden.
Add the rinsed bulgur and stir for a few minutes.
Add the hot water and salt. Cook over low heat until the water has been absorbed.
Remove from the heat and leave to rest for 5 minutes. Stir, then serve.
Important: Sauté the onion thoroughly before adding the bulgur so the raw onion flavor does not carry through into the pilaf. Allergen: contains wheat (gluten), based on the ingredient list. Check packaged product labels for other allergens.
