This jelly is made by sweetening freshly squeezed pomegranate juice with honey and lemon, then thickening it with gelatin. Layer it with pomegranate seeds in glass jars. Dairy-free and requiring no baking, it is an easy brunch dessert to pack for a picnic.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Bloom the gelatin

5 min

Mix the powdered gelatin with lukewarm water and let it bloom for 5 minutes.

2

Heat the pomegranate juice

5 min

In a small saucepan, heat the pomegranate juice with the honey and lemon juice until just before it boils.

3

Dissolve the gelatin

3 min

Add the bloomed gelatin to the hot pomegranate juice and stir thoroughly until completely dissolved.

4

Pour into jars

5 min

Divide the mixture among small jars filled with pomegranate seeds.

5

Chill until set

90 min

Refrigerate the jars for at least 90 minutes, until the jelly is completely set.

Reminder

Always bloom the gelatin in lukewarm water before adding it to the hot liquid; otherwise, it may clump and fail to dissolve smoothly. The gelatin used here is derived from beef.

Nar tanelerini kavanozun dibine önce koyup üzerine karışımı dökünce katmanlar gerçekten belirgin çıktı, 90 dakika beklemek zor gelmedi.
