A classic sweet finish to a Portuguese meal, this no-cook dessert combines orange slices with cinnamon and a pinch of sugar. Served chilled, it is a light option after a hearty main course.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Slice the Oranges

10 min

Peel the oranges, removing the white pith, and cut them into thin slices.

2

Add the Flavorings

5 min

Arrange the slices in a dish and sprinkle them with cinnamon and sugar. Garnish with mint leaves.

3

Chill

15 min

Refrigerate the salad for 15 minutes to let the cinnamon infuse the oranges.

Reminder

Remove as much of the pith as possible when slicing the oranges, or the salad may taste bitter. Add the cinnamon before chilling rather than just before serving so its flavor can infuse the fruit. Allergen: none.
