Recipes for children
Made for young children, this porridge is prepared by softening carrot and apple in a pressure cooker for a few minutes, then blending them into a puree. Lightly flavored with cinnamon, its quick preparation and natural sweetness make it a practical option.
Peel the carrot and apple and cut them into small cubes.
Put the chopped carrot and apple in the pressure cooker with the water and close the lid. When the pressure regulator starts hissing, lower the heat and cook for 8 minutes.
Turn off the heat and let the pressure cooker rest in its own steam for 10 minutes without opening it.
Blend the cooked carrot and apple with the cinnamon until smooth. Add honey if desired.
Use honey only for children who are at least 1 year old; honey is definitely not recommended for younger babies.
