Pumpkin and apple are cooked until tender in a pressure cooker, then blended with cinnamon into a smooth purée. A popular complementary food for babies and young children, it contains no dairy and can be frozen in portions for months.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Prepare the pumpkin and apple

10 min

Peel and dice the pumpkin. Peel the apples and cut them into thin slices.

2

Pressure-cook

10 min

Put the chopped pumpkin and sliced apple in the pressure cooker with a 200 ml measure of water and the cinnamon. Cook for 10 minutes after it comes to a boil.

3

Let the pressure drop

10 min

Allow the pressure to drop naturally and rest for 10 minutes before opening the lid.

4

Blend until smooth

5 min

Blend the cooked pumpkin and apple with a little of the drained cooking liquid until smooth.

Reminder

Important: serve the purée lukewarm. When offering it to your baby for the first time, begin with a small spoonful and watch for an allergic reaction.

Düdüklüde 10 dakika değil 13 dakika pişirdim, balkabağı fazlasıyla yumuşayınca ezmek çok kolay oldu; elmaları da biraz daha küçük doğradım, bebeğim ilk seferde kabı bitirdi.
