This puree combines red lentils, carrot, and potato, quickly softened in a pressure cooker and blended smooth with olive oil. With no salt or seasonings, it is presented as a first baby food. Divide it among small jars for easy transport when going out.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Cook in the pressure cooker

12 min

Place the lentils, carrot, and potato in the pressure cooker with the water. Close the lid and cook for 12 minutes after it comes to a boil.

2

Release the steam

8 min

Remove the cooker from the heat and wait for all the steam to release naturally before opening the lid.

3

Blend into a puree

5 min

Blend the cooked ingredients with their cooking liquid until smooth. Add the olive oil and blend once more.

4

Divide among jars

5 min

Divide the cooled puree among small jars and refrigerate, or pack it for transport.

Reminder

Do not open the pressure cooker until all the steam has been released; opening it while pressurized can cause serious burns. This recipe contains no salt or seasonings, as the baby may not be ready for them yet.
