Fry the diced Turkish spiced sausage in a saucepan in its own fat until lightly crisp.
Add the butter. Once it melts, add the drained rice and toast everything together for 2–3 minutes.
Add the hot water and salt. Once it comes to the boil, reduce the heat to low, cover and cook until the rice has absorbed the water.
Remove from the heat and leave to rest for 10 minutes. Sprinkle with parsley and serve hot.
Important: Fry the Turkish spiced sausage in its own fat first, then toast the rice in the rendered fat for a more flavorful pilaf. Allergen note: some varieties may contain milk powder; check the packaging.
