A sincronizada is a simple but technique-sensitive Mexican snack made by placing kashar cheese and thinly sliced beef deli meat between two large tortillas and cooking them in a hot skillet until golden. It takes practice to melt the cheese fully without burning the tortillas. Making and resting the dough from scratch is the main step that lengthens the process.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Knead and Rest the Dough

45 min

Mix the flour with the salt and olive oil. Add the warm water and knead into a smooth dough. Cover and let it rest for 45 minutes.

2

Roll Out the Tortillas

20 min

Divide the dough into eight equal pieces and roll each into a thin round.

3

Cook the Tortillas

12 min

Cook each tortilla in a dry skillet for 1 minute, until both sides are lightly colored, then set aside.

4

Fill and Cook

8 min

Place the kashar cheese and beef deli meat between two tortillas. Cook over medium heat for 8 minutes, until the cheese melts.

Reminder

Cook the tortilla over medium heat; high heat can burn the outside before the cheese inside melts. Allergens: contains gluten (flour) and milk and dairy products (kashar cheese).

Tortillayı yüksek ateşte pişirdim, dışı 2 dakikada kararırken içindeki kaşar peyniri hiç erimedi, tarifte önerilen orta ateşte 8 dakikalık pişirme süresini dinlemeliydim, aksi hâlde kaşar peyniri hiç yumuşamıyor.
