Meatballs and kebabs
These Turkish ground beef meatballs are simmered instead of fried or grilled, making them a light option prepared without added oil. Simply seasoned, they are served with plenty of greens and yogurt as a light meal.
Knead the ground beef with the grated onion, finely chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper, then shape it into small meatballs.
Bring the water to a boil in a wide pot with the salt.
Add the meatballs to the boiling water. Reduce the heat to a gentle simmer and cook until they float and are cooked through.
Lift the cooked meatballs from the water with a slotted spoon and serve with greens and yogurt.
Important: Add the meatballs to gently simmering water, not a rolling boil; vigorous boiling may cause them to fall apart. Add a pinch of salt to the cooking water so the meatballs are not bland. No allergens are specified.
Pişirirken evin her tarafı kokladı, komşular bile sordu.
