Thin slices of sandwich bread are filled with a kashar cheese and onion mixture, rolled tightly, and crisped in the air fryer in just a few minutes. This is a quick version of a classic after-school snack from Southland, New Zealand.
Mix the grated kashar, chopped onion, cream, and black pepper in a bowl until smooth.
Gently flatten the crustless sandwich bread with a rolling pin and spread softened butter on one side of each slice.
Place one spoonful of filling in the center of each slice and roll it up tightly. Arrange the rolls in the air fryer basket seam-side down.
Cook the rolls in an air fryer preheated to 180°C / 355°F for 8 minutes, turning them 1 time halfway through, until golden and crisp. If you do not have an air fryer, bake them in an oven preheated to 190°C / 375°F for 12 minutes.
Do not press too hard when flattening the sandwich bread with a rolling pin, or it may tear and the filling may leak out. Roll the bread tightly and arrange the rolls seam-side down so they do not open in the air fryer. If you do not have an air fryer, bake the rolls in an oven preheated to 190°C / 375°F for 12 minutes. Allergens: contains gluten (sandwich bread) and milk (kashar cheese).
Benim airfryer'ım küçük çıktığı için tarifte yazan 8 dakika yerine 11 dakikada altın rengini aldı, sekiz ruloyu iki seferde pişirmek zorunda kaldım, aradan bir kez çevirmek gerçekten şart, yoksa alt tarafı yumuşak kalıyor.
