Sweet piquillo peppers from a jar are filled with a spiced mixture of tuna, capers and mayonnaise, then served cold. This easy stuffed pepper dish from Spain’s tapas tradition makes a satisfying late-night snack with few ingredients.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Prepare the filling

15 min

Mix the drained tuna thoroughly in a bowl with the capers, mayonnaise, Turkish red pepper flakes, lemon juice and parsley.

2

Stuff the peppers

20 min

Gently fill the piquillo peppers with the mixture using a teaspoon, taking care not to tear them.

3

Arrange and chill

10 min

Arrange the stuffed peppers on a serving plate and chill them in the refrigerator for 10 minutes before serving.

Reminder

Hold the peppers by their thin edges and press gently as you fill them; pressing too hard can tear them and spill the filling. Allergens: contains fish (tuna) and egg (mayonnaise).
